Best Singaporean Investor to Italy: Keppel DC Reit Management Pte. Ltd.
The award celebrates Keppel DC Reit’s acquisition of a Data Centre in Milan, for the total value of over SGD 37 million dollars. The data centre comprises of three interconnected four-storey buildings with a total lettable area of about 15,365 square metre (165,389 square feet). It sits on on 11,965 sqm (128,791 sq ft) of freehold land, located about eight kilometres away from the Milan city centre and is easily accessible via the Milan Metro system.
Best Italian MNC in Singapore: COIM Asia Pacific Pte Ltd
The award recognizes the long commitment of COIM Group in Singapore and the region. COIM did its first greenfield investment in Singapore in 2002 and continues to maintain investments in Singapore. In 2011, COIM completed the expansion of its polyester polyols facility in Singapore. The expansion made COIM the first polyester polyols producer with a low fogging treatment plant in Asia.
Best Italian SME in Singapore: MetaSensing Asia Pacific Pte Ltd
Focusing on advanced radar technology, the Italian – Dutch company is a manufacturer of radar sensors for different remote sensing applications. Their high-resolution radar sensors are used for detection, mapping and surveillance utilising state-of-the-art Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) techniques. The award celebrates the various achievements of MetaSensing in the APAC Region.
Business Transformation Award: Philip Morris Singapore Pte Ltd
The award acknowledges the contribution made by a large MNC in bridging Italy & Singapore through innovation in science and technology. Philip Morris International (PMI) established its first state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Italy’s Emilia Romagna Region in 2014, investing around 1 billion euros and employing about 1200 employees. The facility is the largest Italian factory built from scratch in the last 20 years. Singapore is home to one of the company’s leading R&D facilities located at the Science Park II, establishing an important bridge between innovation and manufacturing. The ICCS Award recognizes the company’s business transformation efforts which are led by talents, state-of-the-art manufacturing, and scientific assessments originating from both Italy and Singapore.
