On June 13, 2024, the Italian Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Kilpatrick and Hawksford hosted a breakfast talk "Balancing AI and Human Expertise in Recruitment."
The event was a roundtable discussion moderated by Manuel Sguazzi, VP of Sales and Marketing at Swagelok Singapore with Andrea Spiriti, Director, Asia at Kilpatrick as the primary speaker. An engaging conversation was held on finding a balance between efficiency and quality of the work Artificial Intelligence is used for, understanding the risks of using AI in recruitment and drawing the line between AI use and the "human touch" in recruitment.
The participants interacted enthusiastically, discussing the use of AI tools to screen candidates while also being wary of how the system may not be fair from the candidates' perspective.
There was insightful input on how data privacy laws could impact AI use in recruitment and how different generations view privacy.
