From 26th June to 28th June, IEG Asia presented the maiden SIGEP Asia at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Marina Bay Sands.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (ICCS) proudly collaborated with IEG Asia for SIGEP Asia and Restaurant Asia 2024.
SIGEP Asia was conducted in partnership with the 5th edition of Restaurant Asia and was held alongside three F&B trade shows that IEG Asia recently took over – Speciality Food & Drinks Asia (SFDA) and Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia (SCTA), and a takeaway and delivery exhibition Food2Go.
On Day 1, following the official launch of the event, the Food and Beverages (F&B) Jobs Portal was launched. The Technology and Innovation Pavilion (TIP) Sandbox Sessions began alongside where tech companies showcased the latest technological advancements in the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering (Ho.Re.Ca) food-service sector. Buyers witnessed an extensive collection of software, hardware and online platforms to optimise business operations and boost customer experience.
The most-awaited SIGEP Sessions started on Day 2, featuring intriguing masterclasses and demonstrations by Italian and regional masters and chefs on gelato, artisanal breads, pizza and more. The sessions also included tastings and seminars for trade visitors and buyers.
Additionally on Day 2, the International F&B Association Roundtable Discussion on leadership and innovation in the hospitality sector took place. This rich discussion featuring distinguished speakers addressed the topics of latest trends and emerging markets, technological innovation, customer experience and adoption of sustainable practices. Various stakeholders such as hoteliers and resort managers, startup entrepreneurs, chefs and culinary innovators benefitted from this insightful exchange of ideas.
The show concluded successfully on Day 3 after the last round of the SIGEP Sessions and the TIP Sandbox sessions. Another notable event held during the show was the Singapore National Coffee Championships where the national champion selected will represent Singapore in the World Coffee Championship 2025 in Milan.
