Last Thursday, the Shipping Committee of The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, coordinated by Carlo D'Amico, BRUNO LIOTTA, and Kesha Martiny, hosted the end-of-year networking event.
The gathering took place at Basilico Bar within the Conrad Singapore Orchard, with culinary support from Raphael Hategan, Luca Beccalli, Oliver Jaime Garcia - O’Brien, Paolo Frau, and the team.
Last week's discussions highlighted the maritime industry's shift towards digitalization for efficiency and cost reduction and the move to sustainable practices driven by decarbonization regulations. The impact of climate change and geopolitical pressures on shipping logistics and rising transportation costs and complexities was also addressed. Strategies to remain competitive and efficient in light of these challenges formed the core of the conversations.
