LANSSET – LAND, AEROSPACE, NAVAL, SECURITY, SCIENCE &TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
The LANSSET Committee gather Italian companies operating in the Aerospace, Defence & Security sectors in Singapore.
Mission
- Initiate the Sistema Italia - Difesa in Singapore to strengthen its presence in the country and the SEA/APAC region;
- Discuss topics related to relevant domains in Singapore, SEA, APAC in general through meetings and visits;
- Establish a networking and mentoring platform for professionals of Italian firms of these sectors;
- Support the promotion and branding of the Italian companies to SG, SEA and APAC in general;
Objectives
- Perform market intelligence in Singapore and SEA/APAC
- Support Italian Companies expand into Singapore and SEA/APAC
- Collaborations and networking with other Italian Chambers of Commerce in SEA/APAC
- Develop relationship with Italian embassies (Defence attachés) and ICE/ITA in SG and SEA
- Develop relationship with Italian institutions and associations (AIAD, AIPAS, AID, …) in Italy
- Facilitate the match between investors, VC and Italian companies
- Organize missions to participate to events (fairs, conferences, etc.)
COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON: SIMONE PLACIDI – APAC Business Development Manager – ELT Group
Simone Placidi is a telecommunication engineer with a background in radar systems and remote sensing. He lived 13 years in The Netherlands where he graduated and started his professional life at the European Space Agency and at the Delft University of Technology. In 2012 he joined MetaSensing supporting the company engineering and business development. In 2017 he moved to Singapore to oversee the projects, customers, and business development in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2024 he joined ELTGroup Singapore Branch as APAC Business Development manager to increase the company outreach in the APAC region.
